The 7 Chakras

I discovered Chakra healing while on my own healing journey. I was suffering from a traumatic experience, anxiety, and high levels of stress. I was looking for natural healing modalities for my physical, mental, and emotional healing to find myself a new normal. I started with breathwork which led me to yoga, and yoga led me to learning about, researching, and practicing healing with the chakra system in our bodies.

The Chakra system has history dating back to around 1500-500 BC. Chakra, or cakra in ancient India’s Sanskrit, means “wheel.”  When ancient practitioners visualized chakras in meditation they described them as circles, sometimes lotus flowers, that connect along one’s spine and help energy flow through the body. Each of the 7 main chakras houses physical, mental, and emotional connections in one’s mind, body, and spirit.

AM Authentically Me’s healing practice focuses on the seven main chakras. Each chakra covers specific areas and ailments of the body, and takes in energy, processes it, and releases it. When we activate a blocked chakra and balance the chakra’s energy, we can heal physically, mentally, and emotionally. There are many ways we can open and balance our chakras. With Chakra Healing, we will explore which chakras need more focus, what areas of your life need healing to help open and balance that chakra, which foods will help keep the chakra balanced, learn about which crystals can help balance each chakra, and more!
